For an impressive seventh year in a row, Gecić Law’s market-leading Competition practice has earned a Tier 1 status, with significant achievements in matters with far-reaching implications not only on the clients’ businesses but on the economies of the entire region, incorporating diverse aspects, including EU law, state aid and international trade. For a second year, the firm’s Founder and Managing Partner, Bogdan Gecić, was proud to confirm his position among the select few inducted into the elite global directory’s EMEA Hall of Fame after previously being recognized as a Leading Individual in Competition for seven consecutive years. A true household name in competition law, Bogdan is in a category that highlights law firm partners who are at the very top of their profession and consistently praised by their clients and peers for continued excellence. A seasoned professional and key figure in the Competition team, Ivana Stojanović Raišić was recognized as a Rising Star. Her achievements include providing outstanding counsel to clients regarding EU law across the Balkans. Ivana has become a prominent individual central to Gecić Law’s competition team with her dedication, knowledge and expertise. A newcomer to the list of distinguished individuals, Branko Gabrić, has also been named a Rising Star. A seasoned professional, Branko joined the firm last year after many years in an in-house legal and compliance role in large enterprises in the financial and aviation sectors.
The Corporate/M&A team also collected accolades for its groundbreaking work in various areas, led by partner Ognjen Colić. Ognjen has headed the firm’s Corporate/M&A practice since its early stages after he joined the legal team at Gecić Law in 2016. His leadership was instrumental in developing the practice, which has rapidly grown and has been ranked among the leaders by The Legal 500 for multiple years. In this research cycle, Ognjen was honored as a Leading Individual for the third consecutive year. Ognjen’s knowledge, experience and market-leading work in the region has been continuously recognized by The Legal 500 since 2019, when he was first named Next Generation Lawyer.
