Gecić Law Summer Associate Program is designed to be a challenging and satisfying opportunity for exceptional law students to gain a window into the Firm’s work and culture.

The program provides our summer associates with a clear understanding of who we are, what we do, and what it would be like to practice law with us.  As such, the program focuses on hands-on work experience, training activities to develop professional skills, and social activities to help the summer associates get to know our attorneys and staff, as well as our city.

During the Summer Program, the firm provides you with many opportunities to learn through our excellent training and to meet our lawyers and gain a better understanding of our heritage and culture.

Summer associates are encouraged to explore a variety of practice areas, with maximum flexibility.  Our objective is to give summer associates an experience as close as we can to that of a new associate and therefore the work they are assigned is real client work for ongoing matters.  We make every effort to expose summer associates to all facets of our practice and involve them actively in negotiations, client meetings, courtroom and deposition sessions and travel.  Projects are assigned through a process overseen by a small group of experienced associate work coordinators, who collect and distribute projects, always aiming to match projects that are suited to a particular summer associate’s interests.  Usually the team of partners and associates are advisors — guiding the projects, offering critiques of the work product, introducing associate to other lawyers and answering questions. Through this process, the summer associates get exposure to more people and practice areas sooner and discover our culture.
