Nikola Ivković

Associate

Nikola Ivković is an associate at Gecić Law, specializing in Competition Law, State Aid, and EU Law.

Before joining the firm, Nikola graduated law from the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade. Nikola is pursuing a master’s degree in Sociology of Law at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law.

During his studies, Nikola completed specialization courses in EU Law and the European Monetary Union at the University of Vienna and Social Market Economy at the Humboldt University of Berlin. Also, he was part of a two-person team that won First Place in the National Moot Court in the Field of Anti-Discrimination, organized by the Commissioner for Protection of Equality.

Nikola took part in numerous legal clinics, study groups, and conferences on various topics, including International Law, Law and Economics, Tax Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Refugee & Immigration Law.

Nikola was recognized numerous times for his exceptional achievements. He was one of the recipients of the Best Students Award awarded by the Faculty of Law, the University of Belgrade, for every year of his studies and Laureate of the Faculty of Law, the University of Belgrade, for outstanding success at the national moot court. He received the prestigious “Dositeja” scholarship from the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Serbia (Foundation for Young Talents).

Nikola is fluent in English, Serbian, Montenegrin, Bosnian, and Croatian and has intermediate knowledge of French.
