Gecić Law iproudly announces a landmark legal triumph in Kosovo, marking a significant achievement in its history.
The Independent Media Commission (IMC) in Priština annulled yesterday its decision from October 3, 2023, which had suspended the broadcasting of Arena Channels in its territory, claiming alleged broadcasting of illegal content. The authorities after all reinstated the channels, and cable networks in Kosovo are free to broadcast.
Above all, this triumph was achieved through a strategic collaboration with Clifford Chance and Deloitte Legal’s local counsel. The victory indeed highlighted our firm’s dedication to excellence, innovation, and collaborative success in the legal domain. The cooperation with Clifford Chance’s partner Anastasios Tomtsis enriched the team’s expertise as a distinguished figure in EU law and Telecommunications, Media, and Technology (TMT). The outcome benefited from the valuable insights of Deloitte Legal’s local Kosovo counsel, Ardian Rexha and Agon Sokoli. Leading the charge from Gecić Law were partners Bogdan Gecić and Ognjen Colić. The contributions of counsel Miodrag Jevtić and senior associate Vuk Leković were also indispensable. Together, they played a critical role in steering this groundbreaking case to success.
This victory undoubtedly reinforces our leadership in delivering advanced legal solutions across the region. It also underscores the power of collaborative effort to achieve remarkable legal outcomes.
