At Gecić Law, we are delighted whenever we have the opportunity to reward professionals who best represent our core values. With this in mind, we are proud to announce another round of expansion and congratulate three of our star legal professionals. These include the promotion of Ivana Stojanović Raišić from Senior Associate to Counsel, while Jelena Škorić and Danica Misojčić will be promoted to Senior Associate positions.

“We’re pleased to promote Ivana, Jelena and Danica. Our strategy has always been to build talent and reward the exceptional contribution of our team to the firm. It is truly wonderful to watch members of our team as they grow and develop. We are renowned for providing top-notch, revolutionary legal work combined with impeccable client service and I know that they will continue playing a key role in delivering on this promise,” said Bogdan Gecić, Managing Partner at Gecić Law. “We are especially proud as these promotions come as a result of our rapid expansion, even in these times of uncertainty, which testifies to the strength of the core principles that guide us.”

Ivana Stojanović Raišić joined Gecić Law four years ago. She has fully rounded experience in Competition Law, Banking & Finance and M&A, which she further sharpened by delivering strong results in her work for our major clients. She represented the Republic of Serbia before the European Commission in highly complex proceedings involving protective measures in the steel industry, and has worked on a number of ground-breaking State Aid cases, representing clients such and EPS and FCA before local and international authorities. On behalf of EPS Distribution, Ivana took part in a case in which the largest fine ever levied by the Serbian NCA was successfully overturned. She also represented the Republic of Serbia and EPS in a process before the Secretariat of the Energy Community concerning alleged state aid in the high-value Kolubara B project. Her recent achievements include providing outstanding counsel to Utsch, a German manufacturer, in one of the landmark cases which established the foundation of our EU-law based public procurement practice. Ivana is always prepared to respond to the most complex of client needs and regularly meets and exceeds their expectations.

Jelena Škorić joined Gecić Law in 2018, where she has developed her strengths in a number of areas as member of the Competition Law, EU law and State Aid team. Jelena has a strong foundation in EU law, acting as a clients’ reliable guide through the legal processes. Jelena has also contributed to major cases before the European Commission, while a recent highlight includes a landmark process in front of the Energy Community, representing Bosnia and Herzegovina in an alleged state aid and energy matter concerning the construction of Tuzla 7 power plant. Other state aid matters have included work for PKC Wiring Systems and Smederevo Steel Mill. She has also advised Telekom Srbija on various competition and EU law matters. Jelena is highly professional, passionate about projects and the team. Clients appreciate her ability to cut through complex matters and make them easy to understand. Jelena has a pleasant and kind personality, always ready to support her team in tough situations.

Danica Misojčić joined Gecić Law last year and is being promoted from an associate position, after having greatly contributed with her work to our Corporate / M&A, Energy & Infrastructure and Dispute Resolution teams. Her recent experience includes delivering exceptional counsel to NBT AS, Norway, a utility-scale wind power developer, in partnering with WV International on the largest wind farm development in Serbia. Danica also represents our key clients in highly complex commercial litigations before the courts and institutions in Serbia, including Carmeuse, Brolly and TIM Code.
