On Sunday, our representatives, led by senior associate Danica Misojčić attended the National Day of Giving ceremony. Gecić Law received a certificate of appreciation for participating in this year’s “Save Food, Save Humanity” campaign.
We once again felt the pride and immense pleasure of helping those in need, expressing our commitment to our core philanthropic values, which are growing daily. We hope to encourage others to share these values with us.
How did we contribute? First, individual food donations from our team members to the Center for Social Integration of Children and Youth “Zvezda.” In addition, we bought (and are still buying) food close to the expiration date to prevent food waste, which is one of the critical issues today. Finally, we discussed this challenge and the importance of raising the awareness of each individual on our communication channels by providing vital information.
Head of Operations at Gecić Law, Hristina Kosec, said: “We continue to give back to the community as part of our strategic commitment. For each step we take in our profession, we aim to take two steps toward social responsibility. And we are well-known for moving quickly.”
The campaign “Save food, save humanity” was implemented by the Coalition for Charity, led by the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation. Other members of the Coalition are the Trag Foundation, Catalyst Balkans, SMART Kolektiv, the Serbian Philanthropy Forum, the Responsible Business Forum, and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
