Ognjen Colić is a partner and the head of the Corporate / M&A practice at Gecić Law in Belgrade. His practice focuses on Corporate / M&A, Mining, Energy, Infrastructure & PPP, Commercial Agreements, Labor, and Regulatory Compliance.
Ognjen has more than fifteen years of experience in Serbia and the region. He advised several leading international and local corporations in some of the most significant privatizations, M&A transactions, local and cross-border, energy and industry license issues, PPPs and regulatory compliance issues in Serbia and the Western Balkans. Ognjen’s experience includes advising on the very first PPP project structured in Serbia and the first RES power plant project in Montenegro, where he also acted on several high-profile acquisitions in the metals and mining industry. His extensive industry experience includes energy, mining, commercial, food, IT, marketing, and advertising. In addition, his practice includes providing regular support and advice to civil society organizations engaged in protecting digital rights, privacy, and civil rights on the Internet.
Ognjen earned his law degree from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law (LL.M., 2006, cum laude). He is a member of the Belgrade Bar Association Serbia. Ognjen is fluent in English, Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin, and Serbian.
