We are thrilled to start the new year by celebrating the incredible achievements of our colleagues featured in the 2025 Lexology Index (formerly Who’s Who Legal). Leading our series on these accomplishments is the remarkable success of our counsel, Miloš Petaković.
The influential Lexology Index recognized Miloš Petaković as a Global Elite Thought Leader in Real Estate. This status highlights his profound industry knowledge and significant influence, placing him among the top echelon of legal practitioners worldwide. In addition, Miloš received the Lexology Client Choice recognition for the practice for the second consecutive year. This award further underscores his excellence in delivering outstanding client care and innovative solutions in real estate.
Clients praised Miloš’s unique combination of strategic and tactical expertise. They highlighted his ability to go beyond typical legal services and act as a trusted advisor. Indeed, his perseverance, drive to achieve exceptional results, and capacity to draw from diverse legal areas to enhance his real estate work earned particular acclaim.
Miloš leads the Gecić Law Real Estate practice and has developed a stellar reputation for managing complex, high-stakes transactions. His practice includes large commercial leases, acquisitions, contractor agreements, and development projects. With a meticulous and strategic approach, he provides authoritative guidance to clients navigating some of the region’s most challenging real estate matters.
Among his recent achievements, Miloš advised JFE Shoji, a leading Japanese steel motor parts manufacturer, on its €50-million greenfield investment in Serbia. He also acted for OTP Bank in addressing real estate aspects of a top-up syndicated loan for BIG Shopping Center, a major Serbian mall operator. Additionally, he counseled Remus on complex real estate issues as part of its €36-million acquisition of GLM S.p.A., which included its crucial Serbian manufacturing operations.
Beyond real estate, Miloš is concurrently a central figure in corporate and commercial transactions and plays a pivotal role in Gecić Law’s Banking and Finance team. His cross-disciplinary expertise enables him to offer holistic solutions to clients facing multifaceted legal challenges.
