In the latest edition of our Who’s Who Legal series, we are proud to honor our senior associate, Vuk Leković. Vuk’s expertise in various aspects of Competition Law has been crucial in guiding clients through complex challenges. He combines his deep knowledge of this field with a strong focus on EU Law. Recent victories in Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia clearly exemplify his exceptional work. Vuk also boasts substantial experience from the perspective of the national regulator. Before joining Gecić Law, he honed his skills at the Commission for Protection of Competition, investigating competition infringements. He also worked at the National Bank of Serbia, where he helped improve regulations in the insurance sector.
At Gecić Law, Vuk has also developed significant expertise in regulatory compliance in competition law. He now advises and trains the management of leading companies on navigating potential regulatory challenges.
Beyond his Competition Law practice, Vuk’s work extends to Public Procurement and Insurance Law. This breadth makes him a versatile and trusted advisor to a broad range of clients. He is also passionate about sports and frequently explores issues at the crossroads of sports law and his other areas of expertise.
Vuk is deeply involved in emerging areas, particularly at the intersection of digital markets, artificial intelligence, and competition law. He was a notable participant at the 2024 Internet Dialogue conference, where he explored the challenges posed by the growing use of artificial intelligence. He also spoke about AI and the abuse of dominant position at the Annual Conference of the Association of Lawyers in the Economy, organized by the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law. In addition, he wrote about and presented his work on cartels in the insurance market in a meeting of the Association of Serbian Insurers and the Association for Insurance Law. He also recently spoke at the Competition Day event in Montenegro, organized by the Agency for Protection of Competition of Montenegro and the University of Montenegro Faculty of Law. He also took part in a panel that discussed Montenegro’s new Competition Act.
