On Sunday, October 9, 2022, a humanitarian “Yard Sale” was held at the Endžio Hub, an initiative of Gecić Law supported by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Ferdinand Knedle, the New Media Team agency, and other partners. Volunteers of the National Association of Parents of Children with Cancer NURDOR collected donations, and visitors had the opportunity to choose from the many items on offer.
This humanitarian event is unique because the items were donated by members of the Gecić Law team, their associates and partners.
A wide choice of beautiful items from the homes of generous people was available as gifts, memories of a higher goal: to help children fight the battle of life every day. United individuals can do a lot.
Bogdan Gecić, Founding Partner at Gecić Law, said: “I was delighted for our team’s initiative to support the community and help children by giving personal donations. I think it is great that the donations are in the form of personal items and that each piece has its own story, and now they have become part of an even bigger picture. Philanthropy is one of our core values. We do our best to contribute to a better everyday life through various activities. I want to thank the associates, employees, and partners who supported this activity and everyone who visited the Yard Sale and donated funds to NURDOR.”
“It’s not an empty platitude when we say that this kind of support is crucial.” On the one hand, this is a substantial contribution to ensuring our association works well. On the other hand, perhaps even more critically, it helps our mission expand further. Involving as many people as possible in what we do, not only by donating money, but by giving something of their own, their time and effort, sharing in what we do, and expanding the support network is what gives life to organizations like NURDOR. And at the end of the day – that’s precisely what makes our social community better and healthier,” said Tamara Klarić from NURDOR.
Significant funds collected at this event will be entirely directed towards the activities of the NURDOR association to improve the conditions of treatment and life of children who have cancer in Serbia.
