Established on 9 April 1963 as an independent body, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Serbia upholds and protects constitutionality and legality in accordance with the Constitution. The Court consists of 15 judges, with five judges appointed by the President, National Assembly and the Supreme Court of Cassation, each.
