“Aim to make a difference, a dent in the universe and don’t settle for anything less. Always be innovative and creative – those are the key things that always generate true added value.”
This attitude, inspired by the words of the legendary Steve Jobs, is what led Bogdan Gecić, the founder of Gecić Law, to be recently chosen to be one of only 400 members of the prestigious Young Entrepreneurs Council (YEC). The YEC is a global invitation-only, US-based community of entrepreneurs and leaders under the age of 45, who have made major impact in diverse industries and sectors.
The aim of this elite group, launched in 2010, is to allow these young leaders to share knowledge and experience to improve their businesses, but also to foster social responsibility by helping other young entrepreneurs through mentoring and other ways of sharing their knowledge.
Members of the YEC include leaders behind some of the world’s most exciting startups and companies such as AirBnb, Reddit, Behance, Living Social and Justin.tv. The YEC was honored twice by the White House for promotion of entrepreneurship in the US, workplace creation and support it offers to young entrepreneurs.
Membership in the YEC will allow Bogdan and the rest of the team of Gecić Law to make our business even stronger and serve our clients and community even better.
The membership will also enable us benefit the wider, global, community by sharing our insights with some of the world’s most influential young thought-leaders, but also the wider public through YEC’s media partnerships which include prestigious publications such as Forbes, Business Insider, Huffington Post, Fast Company, and Inc.com. The members of the YEC are regularly consulted on their insights on everything from the impact of the current pandemic on their industry to the new ways to shape public policy.
We want to congratulate Bogdan for his success in becoming part of such a select group, and we are looking forward to sharing the many benefits of his membership in the YEC with our clients, associates and wider community. And as always with Gecić Law, this is just the beginning as we try to live and work by Bogdan’s words:
“Never stop dreaming and stay ‘unreasonable’, the reasonable ones never change anything.”
