David Spaić


David Spaić is an associate at Gecić Law.

Prior to joining the firm, David earned his LL.B from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law (2016-2020), where he graduated among the best in his class.  He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Economic Analysis and Policy at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Economics.  During his studies, he completed an internship at the Legal Department of the National Bank of Serbia.  He took part in the “Ian Fletcher International Insolvency Moot” (2020) where his team was presented with the Spirit of the Moot Award.  While attending the Faculty of Law, David was first a member of the Student Economic Law Review Editorial Board, and then the student editor-in-chief.  He also published several articles in the Student Economic Law Review and Hereticus, respectively.

David was recognized numerous times for his exceptional achievements.  He was one of the recipients of the Best Students Awards awarded by the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade. He also received the “Dositeja” scholarship from the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Serbia (Foundation for Young Talents), as well as Gecić Law’s Taboroši Scholarship.  He attended numerous legal clinics, conferences, summer schools and seminars on various topics including International Law, Human Rights, Insolvency Law, Financial Markets and Environmental Law.

He is fluent in English, Serbian, Montenegrin, Bosnian and Croatian.
